Anwälte und Anwältinnen sind unabhängig. Ihre Aufgabe besteht einzig in der Wahrung der Interessen der Klientschaft. Die optimale Interessenwahrung setzt voraus, dass sich die Rechtsuchenden dem Anwalt bzw. der Anwältin vorbehaltlos anvertrauen.

The client-attorney privilege is protected by law through the professional secrecy obligation by which the attorney is bound with respect to everyone, even the courts and public authorities. Therefore, a client can openly discuss any matter with his attorney.
